I just got this in the mail and the instructions are lackluster at best. It called for me to drill holes in the tail section and there are supposedly existing nuts in there for me to bolt into. Before I put 2 holes in my bike, has anyone installed this mounting plate and have some advice?

Anyone who has the stock Yamaha trunk has drilled these holes. I first used a very small bit and lined it up by eye. Keep increasing the bits slightly and I then used a dremal to finish it off. Once you pull the rear seat you can see the mounting points in the rear sub-frame. Good luck.
