For the last 11 weeks I have spent a lot of time looking at public policy (related to my MBA with emphasis on Public Administration) and done a LOT of research on helmet laws, studies, and statistics. There are some numbers here that are just plain interesting. I thought some of you might find some of this stuff interesting. Such as, the Coast Guard saved 5,216 lifes in 2007. Holy smoke, I had no idea they averaged saving 14.29 lifes a day. I do however wonder how many of those were in Lake Tahoe since we have a Coast Guard Station here.
