After reading the thread on moving to Italy, and orestes thread about thinking about a US vacation, what's your ideas on bike swapping with a fellow FJR owner in another country ? Think about it.. US guys riding in Italy or England without having to rent a bike, Aussie's or Europeans riding in the US etc.

You could even take it further with house and bike swapping at the same time !

( NO wife swapping allowed .. I know Rad and TWN were posting up that next ! :D )

So... what do you guys think...any ideas?? B)

I'm game....how about Eastern Long Island, NY for Austria, Switzerland or Germany? You may be onto a new business venture Highlander.

This was brought up last year on .ws. I think there was some limited interest, but rocketdoc didn't like the wife swapping dealeo, IIRC. :)

I'd be in for that. Eastern Canada for central Europe. ( I'd go up to Nord Cape I think? Two weeks? Hit me off list if interested.

Its a good idea and I believe there is already a club that arranges swaps. I'll try and get details from a friend who has done this with a fellow Suzuki VX800 owner in Virginia. As for my plans I would try to time my vacation with one of your owner meets so there probably wouldn't be one going spare but I should be able to get good advice on roads to ride and places to visit.

And not to mention the great exchange rate overseas travelers can get by coming to USA, it's like a built in travel discount!
