Well, many thanks to all who contributed to my search thread to replace my Totaled FJR 04', "Remington"

.

.

After many weeks of disappointing efforts, a little patience and late night searches

have paid off greatly. I scored a sweet' deal, no a 'Blessing', with my 'New to me',

.

FJR 2008. With 17k miles.

Found this great ride in Beaumont, Tx.

Seen the ad, called the dealership and went and picked it up Friday night. 01/14/2011

First ride on ankle, and it was pretty good...110 miles home.

It's Stock w/a Steel Givi rack and Givi Trunk.

Brand new Windshield and New Mirrors..put on later...and sliders installed.

Dealership serviced all the fluids and tires have about 90% left.

It was a great ride back in the temps of 48F. Bike was smooth and the tires were sticking pretty good.

Very impressed with the Diablo's.

Oh, man...that's the one from NE Cycles! Well, good. Glad they fixed the shield and mirrors! Get some bags and enjoy!

Yep! That's the one.

I was surprised that the stock shield protected so well, still wanna touring screen though.

I have my 04' Bags and trunk, and the bags fit just fine; except one has the slide-up locking panel broken.

Going to have them painted. Guess it was a good thing, I kept my bags in the EMT ride after get-off.

:clapping: Congratulations on the new-to-you ride. :clapping:

After a prolonged absence, it DOES feel good to be back on an FJR, doesn't it!?!?

Nice looking ride...I'm guessing there's a story on the mirrors and bags?

Enjoy the *new* bike!

OK, good find!

It's shiney, so keep it pointed away from those danged forest rats.

Be glad you can get back out there again.

best,

Felt really good taking the 110 mile ride back.

You, just really don't know where your mind will be after a get-off, but I was comfortable and

ready as soon as I rolled the throttle. 90 days exactly since my last ride.

Yea, got a sweet deal, It was posted $5995.00 with a trunk, but PO, never had the bags....

I was looking to pay that or more for an 06. I am thrilled with getting an 08' for less than what I got my 04' for 2yrs ago.

Yes, PO had traded the bike, cuz he was getting older (according to dealership) and traded for a trike.

He had put on some POS mirror's, but the dealership was kind enough to order new ones as part of the purchase.

Thanks :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Well done. good to see you're back in the saddle.

Send you bags to Garauld for painting, excellent work at an affordable price
