Congrats! As the owner of a 2012 Cobalt Blue FJR I think it is the best color

My bike was purchased as a left over in April this year from a dealer in Oklahoma. The first owner did a fly and ride. Paid about 12,800 with a 5 yr YES.

He put on 6,000 miles, cee bailey shield, corbin seats, givi tank bag, powerlets, and sells it to me for in July for 10k. Newest bike I have owned since 1981.

Enjoy!

I noticed that you own a Ducati so you should be ashamed of yourself for not saying that RED is for Ducatis. Everybody knows that Italian Red is the fastest colour.

Yes, and my Duc is red, the only color for a Ducati IMO.

Chuckle, chuckle. That's it? No story/stories? Oh, I see; you'll start a new thread to avoid hijacking this one.

Speaking of new/old stock, there is a brand new 2010 on the floor at Penco Yamaha in Kalispell, MT. I think they are asking $11,500 or thereabouts. And they are reluctant to deal. I would think they'd blow it out the doors at any reasonable offer. As soon as it is sold and becomes a "used" bike, it's already depreciated to...what? $8,000?

Why do these bikes sit for so long?

Along with the red vs blue discussion I started, my three other bikes are Red, so I am glad the Yamaha is Blue as a Yamaha should be

One guess:

(1) They're more expensive and lots heavier than the sportbikes that usually attract young riders or riders with only a few years experience.

I imagine that by the time the dealership sells 1 FJR, they will sell 3 or 4 each FZ, R1, and R6 bikes; a Super Ten; and a handful of Vstars and dirt bikes. That's just a guess, though. I'm an engineer who knows nothing about selling motorbikes.

Not gunna lie, kinda getting a chubby looking at that pretty girl. I'm jealous... That makes my 05 blue look old, haha. Love it!
