This is for those of you who havn't replaced your tires yet or in a while. I just installed a new set of Avon's, (purchased through https://www.fjrgoodies.com saving $50. over my local vendor even with shipping costs) and experienced the smoothest 200 mile ride I can remember. Now it might have been that in the past, I've been out of sync on the front and rear replacements or that this is the first time I went somewhere else to have them properly balanced...but it felt better than new. Maybe it's the Avon's, (I've always repl'd with Metzlers) but I could barely feel the those expansion grooves in the freeway that the front tire sometimes like to trak. I'm pumped, no fear to go above a hundy anymore. :yahoo:

Great news on the tires - I am looking to change mine in the next few months. Avon is on the top of my list.

Thanks,

Diane

I just put a set of Storms on also and am just waiting for the ice to melt on the roads so I can take them out for an extended ride. I took a 60 mile jaunt on them when I put them on and the difference between them and the original Stones was amazing. The whole bike should feel different now...Storms, PC-III, Jeff Ashe suspension tweak, AND new racing stripes. :yahoo:

I sure like to hear these good reports on the Storms. I've got a new set on the way. I loved the Azaros. If these are that good or better, I'll be a happy feejer rider. Now if I can just keep the screws and nails out of them.
