I notice something that looks very out of place, and I should know, being the owner of a 2006 myself.

Having put all the miles on my FJR, I can see the problem. That bike is way too clean and shiny for 75k. I only have about 45k on mine and I swear mine didn't look that nice to start with, let alone now. You had better go put some serious miles on that excrutiatingly beautiful bike. A few rain storms will give it some true cred (crud?) so that you can blend in with the rest of us.

That woman is actually someone I admire. 75k since 2006 and still a great looking bike. I am humbled. I better go wax mine or something.

mr.paul, yeah I know my wheels are dirty...soooo?

I am continually amazed at how clean some 06 models are -

I must be doing something wrong?

You'll love this bike. Just get yourself some good gear and do what a lot of us Washingtonians do, ride all year. "The FJR loves the rain." Lots of riding in Western WA, & OR and further south. Also, you can often run through the Columbia River Gorge in winter and access the eastern side of these states and beyond for additional great riding. Or maybe you already know all this. :yahoo:

Have a ball!

Keep Going!
Or like me, move from Shoreline (where I grew up) to E. WA. We get a bit more of riding weather over here. :)

Yes D, You Are! :) A Clean Bike is a Happy Bike. Not only does it Look Sweeeet Just Sitting at a Stand Still, It Creates Less Dirt Drag making it Faster and more Fuel Efficient. Word!! :p

congrats. Just get a new shield and you'll be happy. My gen2 came with 3 and the stock is the noisiest of them all. Stock length CalSci called the 'tinted shorty' is best and +2 Cee Bailey flip is nice too but a bit noisey with wind noise back up near helmet.
