Well the weather finally did in my riding up here in Vermont. Now that the 3 S's have hit the roads (Snow, Sand and SALT) mine will be put up Not riding it in this crud! Time to get my snowmobile and ATV out. Gotta play somehow. And no wise remarks from you warm climate guys.

Tom I can relate as I live in Alberta Canada. I rode my bike to Arizona in October where it waits my return in January. In our area today it was around the freezing mark but I did see 4 bikes out which is great considering we normally have snow by now.

Enjoy your other winter sports and spring will return. It hasn't missed yet.

Well, living here in the south, I anticipate plenty of riding weather left this season....but over the past couple of weeks, it has been unusually cold. So I got out yesterday and stretched the legs of my other Yamaha......42.6 miles of Pickett State Forrest in Tennessee/Kentucky.

Tom, at least you have down time to fix / farkle the feejer.

Today is scheduled for 82 F, the sun is shining, and once again I will have to ignore installing the box o' farkles that have been sitting on the shelf for over a year now.

It's tough being me!

...and it was just a tad dewy this morning here in Socal while riding home at 01:30H from the run to Pink's. Temperature had dropped into the 50's, too!

Very true DC. I have sliders, Freeway Blaster horns and FZ-1 mirrors to add before spring. And Clocklaw...you have the right idea! :yahoo:

Evening Tom, how I know the feeling of the 3 S's. Here in central CT we have the sand and salt out already depending on the town. The state likes to use the "Blue Goo" on the state highways. I haven't seen any of it yet but since we got our first snow today here in Hartford, I figure I'll be riding my wifes 3wheeled Piaggio MP3 to work in the morning. I've got some farkles I need to put on anyway but my bike will always be ready if the roads are clear. Growing up in NW Iowa I know the snowmobile bug. We had a 7,000 sq acre lake in our back yard to ride on.

Keep the wheels upright and your skegs sharp.
