undefined I was at the book store and saw a great article about how Ivan performance TRE was used on the Yamaha FZ-1 2006. It seems they are having much the same problems we have with jerky throttle play. In the article they show that from 4500 rpm and higher the stock ecu shuts off all full when you are off the throttle. Below 4500 rpm the fuel tapers off. Ivan TRE keeps the fuel on until red line with the throttle closed for much better on/off throttle performance. I plan on calling and finding out if this module can be used on the 06 Fjr. Steve

Don't think it will work on the FJR. I've modded my 06 FZ1 with Ivan's FCE (Fuel Cutoff Eliminator) which is the specific new electronic gizmo he created just to fix the touchy throttle response of the 06 FZ1. Think of it as the FZ1 version of the TRE.

Ivan designed it based on his own FZ1 so it really is model specific. If he does create FJR products, I would recommend his stuff as he's very thorough in testing it in the real world plus he personally supports his stuff.

Aloha,

Huladog

I was in Ivan's shop a few weeks ago picking up my Akrapovic full system for my '06 FZ1. He had an FJR that he was doing some mods to and he recognized the that the FJR has the snatchy throttle issue as well. We can only hope that he does for the FJR what he did for the FZ1s.

Ivan we told you you had horrible customer service, and a horrible attitude to your customers. your anger displayed to your employees is a disgrace. now you defame them to the public? Never will we do business with you again, and now we told you, forums will be notified. attack someone personal with lies, now we will let it known. There are other products out there....and it is easy to duplicate....your Dyno knowledge is soooo 1980's......how many more bikes will blow?

There is obviously more to this than I know about. Where is my pint of beer (UK version of pop corn)

And out of Left field comes this ?

Could you 'splain this ?

I was in Ivans shop 4 years ago to pick up a Muzzy header for my old bike. Ivan was there and took the time to show me around his shop, talked about what he was working on, what he had worked on and his own bikes including a mint RZ500 he bought new. Also sold me a jet kit and took the time to explain to me how to pull the carbs and install it and told me if I had any problems to call which I did, and he was a big help over the phone as well. I think he is very committed to what he does and really believes in his products and people confuse his strong opinions with being a prick. Oh yah his receptionist at the time was super friendly and kinda hot.

I have known Ivan since 2002 and met him while working on my FZ-1 and trying to get good performance information. I have visited his shop and spoken to him many times on the phone. He is ALWAYS willing to speak to a customer (or potential customer), and takes the time to do this even though someone might just be shopping and not buying immediately. I have found him to be polite, extremely knowledgeable and right on the money with his advice. I have even seen him advise customers not to do a specific mod or buy a part because he feels it is not in the best interest of that customer. I have also hung around his shop long after closing time listening to him talk to a customer on his time when he should have been home.

Ivan is one of the very best out there and has built his shop and reputation on customer service.

That having been said, I kept waiting for the weird poster to sum up by saying it was Friday, but that never came. Poor soul. You are misguided and misinformed. You should go by his shop and speak to him. I would not advise you to identify yourself as the poster of that completely ridiculous rant, though.

I dropped about $2000 with Ivan about 7 years ago on my ZRX. He turned a very capable UJM into a fire-breathing rocket. And he was ALWAYS, courteous, friendly, and willing to spend time on the phone. He definitely deserves any :thumbsupsmileyanim: he gets.

I had an Ivan's jet kit on my 04 FZ1. That combined with the Yosh slip-on really made that motor come alive and sounded bad ass to boot. I had the installation done at Super Daves in Carmichaels, PA. Ivan was very helpful over the phone to Dave in assisting with installation tips and questions.
