I am very interested in the J&M 2003 CB/Intercom. Does anyone out there have experience with this system on the FJR? If you do, how does it perform at highway speeds and more, range of CB and durability? Yall's help is greatly appreciated.

Got one too. Like it. Probably have over 12K miles with it on the 05 ABS FJR. I have the audio intergation module also & the cell, radar detector & portable FM radio all play through the helmet. My belief is that it will overpower GW 1800 CB's when they are close even on the lower power setting. Range is very dependent on the type of antenna & the SWR of the system. The only thing that I don't really like is that my radar detector (late model Escort) is way too loud even when turned down all the way (I wear earplugs). The radar detector had to be modified by J&M to work with their system. I think that would have voided the RD warranty if it had still had been in effect (it wasn't). I suggest adding up the cost of all the required components to avoid sticker shock. Also be aware that adding the audio intergation model adds "bunches" of wires to stuff into the fairing. Personally I am not aware of a competing product to the J & M System. I would add the system again if I were to do it over. Best of luck.

Oh, if you get the audio module save a couple bucks and get the solo version of the 2003, the module replaces the the rider/passenger connections.

I have the J&M system on my bike and it works great.I have my garmin2730 tied to the aux.input of the J&M.The range seems to be around 1-1.5 miles bike to bike. You can hear the truckers on the hwy a long ways away for cop sightings. My Webpage
