Jacksonville-SanDiego 50CC Start Time

Looking for some feedback as to start times for the 50CC from Jacksonville to SanDiego. We are attempting to get the BBgold in the process so a stop point will be Van Horn Texas. I am just not sure when to aim at getting to Van Horn. Do we want to be going through New Mexico and Arizona at night?????????I know June averages in the 90's and gets to a high of about 109 in Arizona.

Personally I'd think a start around May1 would be best, I hate the heat. For a bunch of great info look at the Motorcycle Tour's Forum they've done this ride a few times MTF
