I will be heading out to Jamaica early next month. I was hoping to rent a bike there to do my adventuring. I was hoping for at lest a good sized BMW. I don’t dare to hope I could find the refined FJR available for rent.

All I have been able to find online is maybe a 550 Honda.. or a scooter… A FRICKING scooter just will not do my friends!

Can anyone help with info? Or if you have knowledge of a place that can get me on 2 wheels while I’m down there please share!

I take it you have not been to Jamaica Mon? Riding in a vehicle is bad enough, I wouldn't want to ride a motorcycle there. The boy's in the NASCAR circuit are just lucky Jamaica doesn't make a team :p

I have ridden in the Dominican, Aruba. Been to I think every place I can think of in the Caribbean. Only times that stick way out is when I go off the beaten path.

Aruba was a piece of cake. The Dominican… not the same rules apply.

It’s just all part of making the vacation memorable. I even got my bike ripped off in Aruba. (Found it a few miles down the beach.) but oh the fun we had on that!

I am betting I can find a fun few days on a bike and make it home in one piece. If I’m wrong this will be my last post please start the NERDS rally without me

I Agree! I did all the Inspections for Air Jamaica Airlines and was in Jamaica every week for 15 Years. Some were overnight stays and others lasted 3 weeks at a

time. That IS NOT a place to have fun on a Motorcycle. The Roads are in Terrible shape and Horribly dangerous! Pulling up next to a Bike or Scooter and

intentionally running them off the road into a ditch or tree is what the Taxi drivers do as a Blood Sport for Fun. Not Kidding! If you really want to do that, Rent

a decent sized Scooter and go deep into the country side where you will be a little safer. Not Much!! Just a Little. Oh! and buy plenty of insurance so you can walk

away scott free when it gets stolen. And it Will get Stolen!! Sorry Mar! I know this is not a pretty picture but, I couldn't sleep at night knowing that I could've

helped you avoid a nightmare while in a place that looks like Paradise. Once you spend time there and make friends, they are among the best friends you'll ever

have for the rest of your life. But, on the roads, It's a Mel Gibson, Mad Max Free for all. OK.... Having said all of that, If it's your first time there, You are

going to have a blast with all the stuff the All Inclusive Resorts have to offer for entertainment. I don't do Air Jamaica stuff anymore but, I go back there every

couple of years to visit friends. Have Fun!! :D

These guys skeek the truth! The scariest ride I ever knew was a bus ride to negril, OMG!!!

I wouldnt share the road with those people for all the tea in China. DANGER, DANGER, DANGER!

Ok, Thanks guys. I guess I will have to wait until spring to go for a ride. But then again with the weather we have had this year who knows when the next warm day will be here...

You do not want to ride a bike in Jamaica brother, besides you'll be to busy smokin the ganja with the locals, and trying to swallow down that crap they call "Red Stripe". :p

I was just there the first week in December. Crazy drivers and and narrow, windey roads. They are a country of a few haves and many, many have nots. I can believe theft would be a major problem.
