Plan on staying over in Tremblant for the St Jean festivities night of June 24 then heading north. Anyone interested in coming along?

oh yes I read your trip report. You didn't visit any of the facilities at all did you (or even get off the bike)? Plus there's the matter of "vitesse excessif" and endangerment of tundra wildlife :shok: !

I'd love to say I'm in but frankly, I'm gonna be lucky if I even make CFR. But you just never know.

No wildlife were injured in the making of that road report. And yes we did stop several times, every time that Mike ran out of gas or needed to repair a tire. :yahoo:

BHAHAHA. Ya, his bike even at slightly slow cruising speed got kinda crappy mileage. I'd pull in to fill up somewhere with a quarter tank left and he'd be suckin' fumes. Must've been from all the extra weight he was twisting in his back tire LOL!

I don't need no stinkin' tires or gas...............I just need good friends who happen to have both.

I have the perfect solution. Go to the "Darkside" to prevent the flats and buy one of Joe's fancy aux gas tanks to prevent running out of gas.

You can make it between gas stops with a small can of extra fuel, but only if you ease back just a little on the right hand.

Hey Steve, my bike is actually not that bad on fuel. I found out my reserve kicks in really early. I can get about 120km after the reserve starts the countdown.

But only after you slow down to 50km/h in 5th when the reserve light comes on from your 200km/h cruising speed :D

I have done 435km on a tank. So whats that ... 270 miles. I have no idea how far my reserve is good for.. I'm guessing about 40-60km.
