Never have been bothered by scrapping a peg or side of my boot. Just before I got the FJR, the wife and I took one last long ride on the BMW K1200LT. Coming home through some real sweepers I had it leaned so far my wife asked me if she was supposed to pick something up off the road.

Thank God she's never whacked me for scraping or leaning.

Please be carefeful.... Once you get used to it.. you use up the margin they are intended to give you and keep pushing. Soon.. peg feelers are gone.. I was scraping the "Stud" on my brake lever on my right side... the STUD on the case not the arm. Man I had the coolest superman cape too... then I went down with my wife on board......

Yeah, that rear brake pivot point is pretty much the next thing to hit after the peg. A large amount of mine is gone. I used to wear out a set of peg feelers with every set of tires. Of course, my daily commute was 20 miles through the foothills of Northern California east of Sacramento. So far, from what I've found, the best riding on the West Coast.

The only time I've heard a complaint from my wife was after taking a right hand corner a little closer to the guardrail than she was comfortable with. She said that she thought she was going to hit her head. Oops.

On the stock '03 suspension it was way too easy to scrape the pegs with a passenger.

check out Down to the Bone ..funking around or electric vibes

Then head for the twistes with that playing ......new pegs will be required.
