I've kept up with Jim (& Wendy his wife) via CaringBridge with auto notifications of their Journal Posts

He had his bad accident losing a leg in mid 2009 and worked hard to get back on his feet, ah, foot and back to work, his life, and normalcy with his family

Well, recently, heart problems became an issue and Wendy posted a request for prayer and best wishes as he went in for quad bypass 24 hrs ago.

Well, it didn't take, his system didn't respond, and he passed this evening.

I'm sad and was growing more concerned with each post since the announcement for his surgery...

he was one of those nice people; an avid rider, a family man, and I so admired his attitude & courage after his accident

Sad deal. His family and friends will surely miss him, too bad that he'll miss his grand kids being born, playing with them, watching them grow up and helping them form the right values. Makes me want to go hug mine right now! God speed Jim..

I didn't know him but I sure hate to hear it. I'll keep his family in my thoughts.

Very sad indeed. I've read many of his posts on the Volusiariders forum before he got his FJR and he was always a very sensible and interesting guy, one that I regret not getting to meet. Godspeed Jim and prayers to his family.

Sorry to read this, I had just asked another forum member about Jim, wondering how his recovery had progressed. RIP.

Jim now has his legs back, he's back with all the dogs he had during his life time, and can ride any motorcycle he wants, for as long as he wants. He's not hurting anymore. God Bless.

Well, just hell.

Hate to hear news like this.

RIP (Ride in Peace), Fellow Rider.

Family and friends and those I don't even know,

Thank you so much for your prayers and support over these last few years. Jim could never look at Caring Bridge very long because it brought tears to his eyes that so many people cared so very much about him.

There will be a service for Jim on Sunday, September 23rd at 2:00pm, Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1725 Porter St., Enumclaw, Washington. The service will be followed by a time of refreshments and sharing at the same location.

The internment will be in the garden at Tahoma National Cemetary in Maple Valley, Washington, in a private family ceremony.

Thank you again for your comments. Each is read and treasured.

~Wendy
