Anybody here ever use the MANTA tank bag? (another website of the same bag) I have a large Nelson Rigg's bag...too big for daily use, and would like to find something more user-friendly for daily use. I just want to store a few smaller items such as keys, cellphones, visor cleaner, ear plugs and the like.

If you have seen or used this productso, what are your impressions about fitting on the FJR? Would you consider another tank bag?

Responding from EOM...I have one and like it. i have plenty of storage in the bags and top box, so I dont need a big tankbag, but it is great to keep the little stuff in, including my kickstand pad. It has KILLER magnets...it definitely wont be falling off.

NewEnough has that Joe Rocket tank bag in PINK... :p

It's a beauty!

I like the...

Cortech Super Mini Magnetic Mount Tank Bag...as seen here..

It's my around-town tank bag. 6.5L capacity. I'd say it's a tad

bigger than a football. I'd think perfect for what you described

your needs to be. Magnets are very sticky...

I too have the Manta and it's perfect for storing the items you list and then some. I use it for all the little things that I want easy access to. And yes, those are some killer magnets. The only problem that I can see with my black one is that it is getting a bit sun faded to a deep bluish tint - kind of matches the '06 blue a bit better!

I have a Cortech super-mini and I love it! I looked at the manta as well and still like the super-mini better. The only feature I like better on the manta is the see-thru cell phone pocket. :)

Agreed, I sometimes worry that I'll dent the tank putting it on....THUNG. That being said, I've had 2 of them. It looks nice on the bike IMO.
Thanks for the thoughts.

How is re-fueling? Must you remove the bag, set it aside to refuel? not a big deal...just curious. It'd be cool if it was a magnetic mount with a fueling hole on it and the bag used quick release clips that attached to the magnetic mount. Then I could just quick release the back part of the bag, flip it up and over towards the instrument panel and have free access to the fuel cap.

Anybody with pics whil'st on the FJR tank? (Not you, but the Manta tank bag :) ) Interested in viewing relative size.

She's a beaut al-right...just don't think I'm man enough. However, the blue on black catches my eye.

I just detach the rear magnets, then swivel the bag outward to clear the fuel cap, leaving the magnets folded under until the cap is closed. I keep all my comm stuff in the Manta, and it goes along all the time. When I leave the bike, I put the Escort in the bag, and the bag in the Givi. Quite handy!

I've had the Manta on both of my FJRs. IPod goes in the Cell phone pocket, cell phone goes in the other pocket, and my daily use beltclips (leatherman and flashlight holder) goes in the main compartment. I have teh intercom feed coming from the front of the gas tank, and the side wing on the Manta holds the extension to my helmet perfectly. For gassing up, I pick up the Manta, swing it to the left, and have pretty easy access to the filler. I also keep my wallet in there, so its quite handy to reach at the gas station. The fit of the bag goes well with the FJR tank.

Found a few pics from the 04:

I have the JR Manta and love it. Mainly used on my R6. Never used it on the FJR...uh I got it for more room, it has bags. The R6 is limited. :)

I bought the Manta XL:Clicky, to haul extra luggage (Bottles O' Jager :D ) to EOM.

It's a well-built piece, and is exactly the right size for the FJR's tank, IMO. The MP3/CD pocket is perfect for a small camera, the cell phone pocket is handy, and the main compartment holds quite a bit. Easy to pop off & toss on the seat during fuel stops.

Wish I'd bought it sooner.

I too have a JR Manta. Works well and does the job for which it's intended. Also have a Motofizz Multi Tank Bag, and a Motofizz Camping Seat Bag. That Motofizz stuff is GREAT. Take a look at it at Aerostich.
