July 19 is Ride To Work Day

You need another option in the poll. I ride to work every day rain, shine, or other. Only ice defeats me and we don't have much of that here say thank ya.

I'm divorced and get my kids some weekdays. On those days, I drive them into daycare/school and can't get my bike and have to drive the box. The 19th was one of those days -- but luckily my kids are still young enough, they didn't notice I woke them up 15 minutes early, dropped them off at the daycare (" I am sooo sorry I'm early, it won't happen again!") booked it back home and made the switch to the Feejer.... frig it.

And I'm really regretting moving closer to town and work last year, and shortening my commute; because I used to be able to ride most days year round and get a decent ride during the commute (when not with kids) on back country roads. Now my commute is 2 lousy miles with traffic. What was I thinking???!!! Oh yeah, it's closer to the kids.

I skipped out of work early twice this week with bad excuses and went riding while the weather is great, ended up seeing a black bear cub on a new twisty I found. What a great way to spend time...

Bears are only food if you are hungry enough, dude. They are kind of gamey and fatty, too....plus, I wouldn't ask what they eat.
