we'll be headed home from the Kootenay's July 11th. Might meet you and the FastJoyRides for a java if it works........

Dave, that pie better be ready.
And the Bloody Mary ... just asking?

Looking forward to flying out on Friday, July 8th and meeting up with George on that date get the bike ready for the trip down to Mt. St. Helens on Saturday, July 9th.
Like it when a plan comes together Mark. We'll plan for good weather so you won't need those plug-ins!

One question: What's the best place to get a BC paper map?
I have one under my coffee table you're welcome to. It's from ITMB, waterproof...might come in handy in the great north. IIRC, I picked it up at the local Barnes & Noble bookseller.

Fluids changed and new tires being put on...since our Virginia foray likely took care of an over abundance of tread depth. Griff put on a voltmeter and a dual heated pigtail so we can both have heat on this trip. Thanks Griff!
Yeah, I know it's Canada and you'll be at altitude ... but you're a real-live Southerner if you need heated gear in July. Come back in one piece, and bring wifey back that way, too, please.

Hi Barb: Mark and Louanne are planning to arrive here that afternoon so why don't you and Norm plan to spend that night here too? I will lay in a few extra Tall Timber ales - just in case! I don't know if any of the PNW guys are planning to escort the Wheatons to our place, but we do have spare beds if so - JS&NS!

Nope. Always a little concerned about getting back into the USA.

Back in the day, I remember being kicked off the Tijuana bus halfway back to my submarine that was visiting San Diego. "Hey, you gotta get out and walk across the border. Another bus will pick you up on the other side." Pretty scary walk in the wee hours when you were counting on a 90-minute "sober-up" nap. Must've checked on my passport a dozen times in that 50 yards.

Thanks Panman and others. I think I am set...

...I just need something for the tankbag and griff has offered his BC map and WA map.

However, I am looking for a free radar app for an iphone.

(My app has the lower 48 only...no Canader, which is strange. You'd think that a radar app would be for the North American continent.)

Anyone want to share what they use?

+1

Mark: Cell data coverage is very pricy in Canada - and not good off the beaten path either, hence not a lot of navigating by cell. Check with your carrier and see if you can get a decent plan for the time you'll be north of the 49th...

The offer is out there PieMan and Master Plugger - come on up, that way the Wheatons won't need a map!
