Just remember you can't make an FJR seating position anywhere close to a cruiser no matter how many bar risers you try. As with any new bike you have to give your body some time to adapt to the new ergos. Could be a little painful at first but well worth it IMHO. At first I couldn't go more than 2 or 3 hours. Now after 18 months I can do 12 and that's with a stock seat. The ass adapts and the body follows...

Opps!!! You mean I have to get rid of my chaps. What will I ware?
Ballistic nylon of course! Aerostitch or Tourmaster seem to be some of the favorites.
Nah! Go with kevlar air mesh (or blend - depending on where you live). About the same cost, but far more effective, wearable and durable than any leather. :D

Hrms... Ape Hangers on a Feejer. Has it been done yet?

You will love it, chaps, leather, doesn't matter. Just wear some gear.

The quietness of a stock FJR might also confuse your auditory senses. Just watch the tach, it is actually running.
