How 'bout that one? Gotta put this on my computer for my background. Thought I might share it.

Every time I get an itch to clutch mine up, I talk myself out of it real quick. Is this bad to do to our bikes? I'm not talking all the time but occasionally?

The drivetrain on your FJR is one of the strongest setups in the industry. If any bike can take an occasional hardy twist of the throttle, the FJR can. Of course, there are some things to consider:

Your butt: If yer not real coordinated, you may end up on it.

Your clutch: doing this too much can take it's toll on a clutch, but then if you're in first gear, no clutch required. Just snap the throttle.

Your wallet: get caught doing this by the boys in blue and it could get expensive.

Your family: they already worry about ya. Doing stuff like this makes it that much worse.

Your steering head bearings: Gettin' it up is easy enough, but cha might wanna be careful how you set it back down. That's a lotta weight comin' down on those little bitty rascals.

Fork seals are also at risk as you return the front tire to earth.

Don't know if it's just the picture but it looks like the exhaust on the left side has a large dent. Maybe came down wrong.

Neat pix...

but no way an fjr wheelies, even in first, with just throttle, on a flat road...

Prez Carter, thought that was you...

And yes they do!
+1, Gunny; especially the 2003 model, my Miss Lucy Liu was a real wheelie girl: By accident, usually startling the holy hell out of Papa Chuy Viejo ese! JSNS!

Papa Chuy and his Miss Lucy Liu.

And this of course is after Papa Chuy slides his tiny little ass to the pillion seat to add extra weight to the rear tire
