Well, just picked up my new FJR, It's official, I'm now the proud owner of an 09 FJR1300A man what a bike! :)

Gotta go wipe down the water and get the cover onto her before the heavy storms come, but i'm really looking forward to puttin some miles on her! (Pics to come when the rain lets up!)

Warmest welcomes from another new FJR rider (got mine yesterday). :yahoo:

Congrats to both of you. I've had mine for just over three years and have 38,000 miles on it. It's far and away my favorite bike I've ever owned. Ya'll done good!

GRRR, I'm in the dreaded waiting for mine period. I'm hoping to have it by the end of the month. Everytime I log on here and see someone's new bike pics,I get a little greener with envy. :( Congratulations.

Mike

Welcome to the group of FJR owners. I'm fairly new here as well. I bought my 07 leftover back in April. The FJR is by far the best motorcycle I have ever owned. I wish I could quite my job and just ride my FJR full time. Yamaha did there homework when they made the FJR

Back in the dark ages Yamaha utilized as program called PDP which was a legal torture process used on American FJR buyers. I ordered my '05 FJR on Feb 6, 2004 and picked her up August 4th 2004. So forgive us old timers for lack of symapthay for newbies waiting a few days or weeks.

I'd do it again however. The FJR is a bike worth waiting for.

Congrats to the recent '09 owners.

Congrads to both you guys. Yes they did their homework. I feel the same way about mine, a few minor issues aside.

I'm not much for bright reds, but that black cherry is a sweet color!

I guess Yamaha is thinking they'll have better QC if they don't roll too many different types down the line at once. I'm still happy with the black though.

congrats and happy riding

now you have the perfect tool to harass the harleys and cruisers to your heart's content...they'll have no self esteem around ya on your feejer...

let's ride safe and be careful out there,

Mike in Nawlins'

Congratulations on your new bike! I got mine two Fridays ago and have loved every mile so far.

The warning about farkles and upgrades is a good one -- this is what I was doing at 9:30 tonight:

LOL thanks everyone, Yeah the grin is pretty much chisled into my face by now

Rgross, I'm game to go riding, Let's schedule some time and go!

As far as farkeling, well I've only put 100 miles on her (in the rain) but so far I know for sure that I need bar risers and seat work (For someone my size that seat is akin to a midevil torture device LOL )

As for the rest, I need to get a Givi mount for my E46 case that I have...but I can get that this weel...

More riding..more!!! :)

congratulations

Enjoy the thrill of a great bike. I got mine last August and 17k miles later I am still grinning ear to ear when I head down the driveway. Start racking up the great memories and ride safe

Way to go on the new bike. Now just make sure you take the time to check the suspension settings. It really makes a difference as well as keeping your tire pressure checked. Here's a linky Clicky :clapping: :yahoo:
