Just recently installed a set of Leo Vince Carbon Ovals I ordered from Bike Effects and was supprised how easy it was to do. The sound is great with and without the baffles. Defiantly no more mistaking it for a high speed vacuum cleaner!

Without the baffles it's quit a bit louder than stock but definatly not as loud as my VMAX. Even so I'm keeping the baffles in since I ride a lot further and longer on the FJR.

One thing though is I got a piece that wasn't listed in the parts list. I assume it's a baffle that would fit between the connector pipe and the can. If it is a baffle it looks pretty restrictive. I left it out but does anyone know what it is for sure?

Thanks.

BTW: Bike Effects is a great outfit and really treats their customers right!

I forgot exactly what this is, but something to do with packing and shipping. For you, it is useless. Enjoy your Leos. I sure enjoy mine.

Thanks for your business.

Looks like a muffler bearing. Better put some high quality grease on it before the install!

It's a complementry kickstand foot for use on soft ground....KM
I WAS going to post, "Oh no! Take them off and read the instructions. You MUST have that fuel baffle in place or gasoline will puddle in your mufflers and the bike will catch on fire."

Then I thought better of it and waited for someone more "reasonable, safe and sane" to post.

I see that Jeff did:

And he's right, Jeff, you are the best!

Just told my wife what they were and she started laughing. I gota be more careful about taking things so literally

You are correct. This is a baffle so that these can conform to some European standards which are more restrictive. Yes, it goes where you thought it would. I would leave them off unless you want "super stealth" mode.
