I've been having a great time learning to ride this bike. After just a couple of weeks everything has been perfect. I might move the handlebars back a notch and I can see a need for a taller windscreen in the not so distant future. The only real problem I've found is some sort of mental brainwashing effect when I'm heading home. I keep passing the turn in to my road. Then it seems to take another hour or two to make my way around again. Is this common with FJR's?

Should I mention it to the service guy when I bring it in?

Immediately trade that POS in on something with no power, no handling, and makes you have an attitude! May I suggest a certain Korean made model?

I'm sorry, but the problem you mention is inherent to this particular machine. And, as far as I know, it does not diminish with the 600 mile service, the 24,000 mile service or...er, forever, is my guess. At least it hasn't for my six years of ownership.

I have had that problem since I bought mine as well. There is no cure for it and the bike just has a mind of its own. It has taken me on some really fun trails past that road to home, and continues to thrill me with new adventures every day. This is one fun bike. Welcome to the club. :yahoo:

I have found that in my car I can find the shortest way home.... but on the FJR.. it finds the weirdest ways home....

must be a manufactures defect...... ;>

Dude, it gets even worse. I'm averaging about a thousand miles a month and don't really go anywhere... This thing just sucks the time right outta your life.

Hehehehe...

Wait until you find yourself on a dark mountain pass, cold, wet and shivering. Wondering if you're going to make it back in time for work and smiling from ear to ear. :D

Welcome to the ride.

After having my AE for 11 weeks and having put 4500 hundred miles on it in that time.

The service manager shook his head and said " sorry not a warranty issue"

Sooo, I guess we are just stuck with the problem.

If it's really that much of a problem, I'll take your bike off your hands and trade you my Harley!

My co-worker told me he likes riding to work since he gets here so much quicker.

I told him "You're doing it wrong!" :dirol:

I sure agree. Seem like I don't mind filling my fjr up but leave the jeep at home sitting. Probably burn as much gas doing the long routes than if I drove my jeep.
