We never knew that you were a closet entomologist with a really cool specimen collection tool.

Very nice Dale, looks like some 80-90 mph specimens mixed in with some 130-180 mph specimens. Keep up the good work. PM. <>< :D

And my favorite from this particular collection is my Shoei X-11, still untouched since being pulled off at ride's end!

I call this piece "Shoei Sunset".... exquisite Bug Art!!!!!

I like this 'un. Looks like half of a much bigger bug -- complete with composite eyes -- has been unkind to his tinier relations.

Hey WC, you have a license to transport those bugs across state-lines? We don't want the animal-rights activists locking you up on a legal-technicality right before WORD!.

Bleh.

Let me know when you come up with something a little more interesting than a few measly little bugs. Something a little higher up the food chain perhaps..........

My gawd! Thank god it was the windscreen and not the rider. Reminds me of the scene in "Wild Hogs" when the group gets smacked by the bugs and then Travolta with the raven. Poor little guy....never knew what hit him. Did ya see it coming?

Coming home from our local Thursday night dinner ride the bugs were bad. I kept thinking of the Harley rider wearing only wrap around glasses for protection. That must of been a miserable 50 miles for him even if he kept it at 50 mph.

Had a big bug hit me when I was traveling near the Susquehanna. It felt like I was shot. Had the helmet shield opened just a crack to get in more air and the guts covered not only the helmet shield but my glasses. Had to do a quick pull to the side to wipe off the residue but was a bit spooked driving blind at 70 mph. Don't know what it was but suspect it was a cicada. Boy was I glad I had the glasses on. I don't mind bugs on the headlight or windshield, but don't like them on the glasses. Only thing I liked less was having a hornet share the inside of my helmet with me. Some art just gets way too personal.

Dale,

What does your wife say when you come home from a long ride and ask for a clean towel as you prepare to wash your bike?
