anyone outside that immediate area that would be interested in being notified of KC area rides? (twisted, I assume you are in this group)

Sure if you don't mind
yes, I don't mind!

I realize I only sent this out a couple of days ago but do you think a pm to those listed would get any better response? Do you know of a better way to determine which members are still active? I guess I could look up each and maybe I'd see when their last post was...

thoughts?

You can also add me. I get that way from time to time.

I grew up in the area (Lee's Summit) and have lots of relatives up there. I'll keep watch on you guys and might stumble in to your fun one of these days...

Sounds good.

Where is Alma? If a KC group came south how far would we need to go to find Alma?

I'm just outside the area; however, I do not like riding in that area. So no thanks, but thanks for asking.
I can't tell if this is a "Friday" post or if you have moved and your address is outdated: So Cal "just outside the area"? <_<

Friday post my friend.
You have a great idea to round up people, names, etc, for rides and communication. We also do that in SoCal. We even have others on our list not from SoCal just so they could be in touch. ;)

It's at the intersection of Hwy. 71 and I-40. Right between the Ozarks and the Ouachitas.

About 4 1/2 hrs. south on 71 from KC.

There is a email list for riders for the Chicago and minneapolis area riders. Each has a person who has collected that information and they might email (versus posting) about a ride. I don't know that it's any better to be honest. i'm on the MSP list, but I haven't seen anything come of it...they just might not send an email out about rides, maybe just about communicating other things.

I think this works, but maybe some people check their email more often. I'm here every day and my emails go to my mobile phone, so I'm connected :)

Checking last post day is sometimes a good indication of when they were last "active" versus if they are just browsing or reading posts without replying. Right now I can't remember if this forum details when a person was last "seen" or logged into the forum. (since I'm in the midst of replying to this, I can't check).

Then again...sometimes it's best to just post up about a meeting time/place and tell people to show up if they can :) I can't guarantee that I can make these things, but I'll try
