Greetings gang,

I'm currently on the hunt for the TK 3131 and Autocom attachment. If you are interested in selling, feel free to PM me or email @

Thanks

Agreed!

Had Kieth modify the Autocom last summer. Good guy to work with. Before going that route; however, I wanted to exhaust all other deals on this side of the hemisphere.

Well, longer than Pete's at least...of course I hear that ain't sayin much either.
Duh; Did I just think that outloud?

lol
You obviously misheard. They don't call me "Tripod" for nuthing!!!

Actually, they don't call me Tripod at all, but since I already have a TK-3131, and you don't, my Kenwood antenna is currently longer than yours! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I've got a TK3101, battery, charger and Autocom attachment that I'm not using, though I wasn't looking to get rid of it.

If your not looking to get rid of it why do you tempt me so? :dribble: lol

Although I appreciate your gesture, I'm in no hurry and would prefer to just wait for a TK3131.

Thank you anyway.

Guess I waited too long.

So the TK-3131 has been discontinued (a while ago...I know) and is no longer available in stores/web sites.

Now I've got to research other possibilities and would like to know from your experiences; what's a comparable radio?

Thanks in advance.

When I bought my Autocom stuff several years ago they recommended the Cobra 38 WX ST hand held radio. I purchased one and never used it. I ended up going with a J&M CB set-up instead. I have the radio, a push to talk (PTT) switch, standard antenna and a 3 foot telescoping antenna, a cord for speaker/mic/headset etc. I also have the Pro-M1 Communication/Audio System. I will sell the CB, cords and PTT for $75.00 includes shipping in USA. Pro M-1 not included in this price, that is for sale also. If you are interested let me know. [email protected]

I'm posting in here only to mention that I may well be getting rid of my entire Autocom setup, Kenwood radio and all.

Blame Fairlaner.

It isn't as if I use them and it isn't as if I need them - the stuff is a pretty darn complete list of Autocom's Pro-M1 system, including the Bluetooth dongle.

But I haven't quite made up my mind - and I told Fairlaner, I am something of a packrat, but I've been thinking about downsizing given my personal situation. And downsizing means getting rid of stuff . . . then I think about just how much money I have invested in this crap and it is pretty depressing how much money I've wasted - then again, if I hadn't spent it she would have walked out with half of it anyway.

Mind you, it pales in comparison with how much money I've given to lawyers over the last four years - I could have had a very nice, fully paid luxury vehicle from another continent parked in my garage for what being passive has cost me. And then there's what she took on her way out the door . . . whoops, here I go again!!! I'll stop before I get too maudlin.

However do I really need the new dash cover I bought for my old Concours 1000? Or the edge trim for the cowling? Or the tank bra and the spare windshield I got for that bike? Heck I crashed it almost 5 years ago and it isn't as if I'm going to buy another one.

I also should get rid of my spare (scuffed) FJR saddlebags . . . what am I holding on to them for? How about 35-40 year old high end stereo equipment that is packed in the original manufacturer's boxes? Will I ever set it up again?

Too much detail . . . . . must hit ''add reply''.

May be able to get a Kenwood TK-3230.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Bramfrank,

Sounds as though you've lived numerous adventures. Love to hear about them over a beer someday.
