I hear ya' Vic, my work has been getting to me lately. Sometimes I could just scream to the top of my lungs with the frustrations. Luckily, only 2 more weeks to maintain that last thread of sanity.

I guess we could start nailing down the details next week, after you get through "Hell". Steve and I will probably start working on when to head to your place and how we'll get down there.

Really looking forward to this ride!

Tony, you gonna make this one?
Okay Rob. Sorry haven't been in touch lately, been busy with visiting family and had a great time, shame they have to leave tomorrow.

Getting buzzed about the our trip, must get that new battery sorted and installed. We can make our plans anytime.

No problem Steve, glad you got to enjoy some time with family. We'll talk when things settle back down.

My Examiners have boarded their plane and are on their way back home. I'M STILL ALIVE!!! :))). Just a few written tests left that I can do online at my leisure and my new Certs will be in the mail. Holy Crap!! I'm glad I only have to get corn holed once every five years. I'm going to sleep for two days. Maybe by the time we get to a Key West, I'll stop walking funny! :)

Congrats Vic! What doesn't kill us...makes us stronger, right?

One week to go, and it's Duval Crawl time! Steve and I should leave here around 4:30ish on to your place, so that would put us there around 7:30-8:00p. Hope you'll still be awake. :)

Do we really need/want to do a 3:00a takeoff? I know it was talked about, to be at 7 mile bridge at sunrise, but that'll put us in KW long before check-in. It would be good (imho) to get there, check-in, secure the bikes and stuff, and then go and get into trouble, uh..see the sites. However, if you and Steve want to leave early....I'm all in!

My thoughts, exactly! Some one mentioned a 3am take off. I think is was either Tony of Jim and that little voice inside my head said: Noooo! A 9-10am take off will have us there by check in time. Now we're talkin'. That'll be perfect. I've got some killer coffee at the house and I'll make The Breakfast of Champions. I'm sure that the sunrise at the 7 mile bridge is lovely but, it's no better than all the other sunrises that I've seen in my life.

I'm Ok with that! :) This will be waaaay more fun now! Can't wait! :)

It's a good thing I had bailed...we are now short handed at work. I'm on a 6 day week for the next few weeks and any time off I might have had would have been discouraged. The good news is a whiny ******* is gone...

Have a great ride guys!

Everything happens for a reason, Chuck. There'll be many more trips to South Florida for you. Me personally?, I'd be more than happy to work 6 days a week for a while if it meant a whiny ******* wasn't there anymore. I've known a bunch of them. It's like listening to nails squeaking down a blackboard all day. I guess that means your Chicago trip is out too, Eh?
We'll send pictures! :)

Nooo, I got back from Iowa / Chicago early Monday. It was an awesome ride ans a SS1000 cert. The new rostra cruise proved itself!

Outstanding! I'd love to wander around the Midwest on two wheels for a spell. My best buddy and partner in crime back in high school is the line chief at United Airlines at O'Hare. I'd enjoy sitting and swapping sea stories with him. It's on my bucket list. :)

After an hour of the lovely corn fields, I felt as if I had seen it all.

Lmao!! Ain't that the truth? I know exactly what that's like.

Hell, you should go anyway, as a way to tell them that the "whiney *******" should've been gone a long time ago! Kidding, of course.I'm glad you had a good trip up to Chitown and back, and the the cruise worked out for you. There will always be more opportunities ahead, and we'll have a great time then too. Ride safe!

Rob

Chuck there are some great roads in Iowa … I-80 was just created through Iowa to give the wrong impression of the roads to keep the RiffRaff out…

… And it seems as though it worked with you! (LOL)

Sorry guys, just seem to have non stop distractions going on at the moment keeping me from the important stuff in life, like keeping up here with all your news and planning our little upcoming soiree.

Anyways, most other things are taken care of now so full attention devoted to this coming weekend. Me and Rob look to have our meeting place and route to Vic's place all set and I'll admit to be happy with a later take off time from there Sat morn.....it's not the early start but the following afternoon that kills me!!

Vic your offer of killer coffee and breakfast just about seals it for me.......looks like you will be having more beers handed to you!! There must be a plan in there somewhere LOL. See you Friday man.

Is Tony going to join us? I wasn't sure from reading the posts,or did I miss something? Pity about Chuck not making it, though as you say there will be other times.

Roll on Friday.

Just checked weather forecast, looks like front comes through Thursday and early Friday am. Friday pm and rest of weekend is GREAT!

Woohoo! :)
