WAHOOOO!!! :yahoo:

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, and TWN, and SkooterG, and, well, you get it, the kidney stone has passed! This not-so-little bastage has been giving me fits for quite some time now. Labor pains cost me one day of work this week and completely ruined yet another. My biggest fear was that labor would continue on to Saturday and ruin my trip with the guys to the motorcycle show in Atlanta. But I have prevailed!!!!

:yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

You know, I am entirely too good at this.

#105?! :eek:mg: Dude, lay off the calcium rich dairy and get more alcohol into your system! Really, 105? I did 1 and thought I was gonna die... then came the sciatica and I wish I had. Ouch!

Yea had one of them there stones lasted four days 3 of them off work, thought I was going to have a baby ,it hurt like hell

. Had to take some good ole pain meds to make it through the day and night. one good thing it was in January of last year when it was raining no lost riding time

Stones are no no fun to have weekend ride

Well I was in Hospital 2 weeks ago from renal colic! I woke up a about 0130 and thought to myself hmmm must be sleeping the wrong way my back is hurting (Like a cramp) as I move and and as my mind started to clear I though **** never had that hurt there before? Oh dear I hope it's not what I think it is? (Paramedical background) yep the pain grew so off to the ED I go got there 17.5mg of Morphine later it didn't even touch the sides...finally after about 3 hours of writhing in pain, I'm admitted and a nurse gives me a concoction of paracetamol and an anti inflammatory with some Maxalon and the pain died down, I was able to doze for a few hours until the pain came back again. Anyway had a CT and they found a 4mm stone in my bladder so the worst part was over...I went and had a pee and there was a bit of mores code in it and I thought that must have been it?

I was talking to several nurses who have had children and renal colic and they say renal colic is by far worse than childbirth pain wise! I won't argue!

**** it hurt, like being kicked in the plum/s continuously....Wouldn't wish it on your worst enemy....well maybe your worst

Had one once and don't want another. Worse pain I've ever had. Funny when it finally passed, it was like someone turned off the pain switch. Truly a humbling experience. Glad you got through with your latest; hope you can avoid more in the future. Keep them kidneys flushed, avoid dehydration and avoid them calcium rich products. (high percentage of crystals are calcium oxalate but crystals can be other minerals; have you had your stones analyzed for content; that may help in avoiding future one, good luck)

Well, you ain't gonna believe this. Just got back from the MC show in Atlanta. Had to piss real bad. And guess what? KIDNEY STONE # 106! WTF???? But on the good side...I never even felt this one coming. Nary a pain all day. I guess this means my inards are getting kinda reamed out. He was a bit smaller than his slightly older sibling of last night. Oh, well, I'll take this easy delivery.

You know, I should have kept all these *******s. I could have made a necklace by now.

We certainly hope that will be the last one.

BTW, does this mean all your other posts were done while you were stoned? It does explain a few things. :D

Bwaaa! I guess it does.

But, by handling this many stones, does that also make me a mason?

Man - what the hell you guys eating? Like said above - more ALCOHOL!
Funny, I once was sent to the Chief of Surgery, UAB (world famous hospital at the Univeristy of Alabama-Birmingham) who actually cussed me out for not drinking. He said if I would drink a *&$#^$ beer or two every day, I would not have them. Now, I like the occasional beer but I just can't remember to drink them everyday. Unfortunately, I don't get properly motivated to suck down the sudds till one has stricken. Who would have thought? I have a medically diagnosed need to drink beer, and I screwed it up. Odot must be so ashamed of me.

:dribble: I can't say I've had the problem but, my dad after WWII came back and Dad and a buddy of his drank 2 gallons of milk each... When they had the problem, Dad just suffered through it but his buddy finished off a case of beer stood between two chairs and screamed for an hour. It's amazing how fast beer goes through your body. :dribble:

Alcohol 'is' a diuretic, and will make you pee, but that will dehydrate you and make you prone to stone formation, so drink plenty of water or other liquid that is a nondiuretic to rehydrate you after drinking. Drinking water after having a few too many will also help avoid a hangover. (A lot of the hangover is caused by being dehydrated.)
