After pondering and searching for my next bike for more than a year, I finally took the plunge. I wanted a naked to complement what was already in the stable and to recognize the reality that riding sportbikes is increasingly difficult in a 40 something body.

I had an order on a Brutale 1078RR for almost a year. Divorce-related poverty and the long wait led me to cinch a deal yesterday for a used '04 Brutale with only 230 miles on it. I CANNOT WAIT! I am so excited I'm almost ashamed of how good it feels.

P.S. A friend is also gifting me a "project" bike -- an old RD350...
