So, you were in the section of the road where two lanes merge and there are no markings. Since you said you were approaching it tells me that she was in front of you other wise how would you see her in her mirrors. Tell me again how she tried to ran you off the road?

If There no marking that whole lane is HERS if she is in front of you.

You are coming from behind it is your responsibility to avoid the vehicle that is upfront of you regardless what they are doing. There is a word for what you did it in the court:"Road rage". It never produced good results.

I would never argue with a car when I am on the bike and would suggest the same to others.

The ride home yesterday....

Well did not get to snap any photos but I did get to hit the hood of a knucklehead with my fist as they tried to cut me off on a exit ramp, you know the kind where there is enough room for two vehicles but no painted lines and those that are stuck in traffic trying to turn right try to prevent those going left from continuing to the light, so I saw her looking at me as I approached and she just kept coming over, I actually had to stop and as I was sitting with in a few inches of her car cursing her threw my helmet, I decided to slam the top of her car as I did not have enough room to kick her door, not that I wanted to take it to that extreme, but the look on her face was priceless!, the dropped jaw of dis belief that I would do such a thing!!!! I laughed all the way home after I moved ahead and turned right at the light and made sure she could not get close to me......
In some places that would have resulted in the hubby stepping out of the vehicle and "puttin' a cap in yer ***."

While what you did was wrong, I know EXACTLY the type of person your dealing with.

If i understand you, Your saying that she might think twice before intentionally cutting you off,Well... I think that she will be even more convincing next time due to you getting away. BE CAREFUL.

I try to ride as if everyone is out to kill me and not put myself in those situations.

I think now is a good time for tocutter's "your car can kill" picture!

My .02 worth. That reflects on ALL of us, and I for one resent it. It's hard enough when people find out I ride a bike without having to explain that I'm not one of THOSE guys.

Two wrongs don't make a right, blah blah blah.

And as far as a trooper or judge would be concerned, it WOULD be road rage, and you could go to jail for it.

Don't answer stupidity with stupidity. Man up and be the grown-up.

Well since you do not know the exit ramp that i am talking about and it is a heavy traveled exit ramp where traffic uses one ramp and the road is wide enough for two full size suvs to ride side by side and every day people that are turning left use the left and people turning right use the right which then turns into three lanes two to go right and one to go left, and the knuckle head(******) decided to be one and tried to come over to the left and prevent me or any other vechicle from going past her, traveling speed for her is a crawl, for me 5-10 miles an hour, sure i watch all of them as there are those type of folks whether i'm in my truck or on my bike, but if i am on my bike of course i have to yeild the right of way to everyone which is why i was able to lay on my blaster horns and come to a complete stop where she decided to stop inches from hitting my leg, so yes since she saw me and decided that it was okay to cut me off on purpose I have no problen with my actions and would have more than welcomed hubby getting out of said vechicle, more than likey hubby was educating her after that that you do not do that **** to motorcycles.......
Road rage, no I do not think so, if it was that bad i am sure I could have made an effort to hit the window..... It was more of a tap anyway,

Oh and yeah, i went through one of those road rage things in my truck a few times, but decided that after the officer caught me a few lights up and came up and pounded on my window to pull over and then walked over to the other person and did the same and traffic school resulted since the way it was written gave me a loop hole that I would not take part in that sort of thing any more besides quitely crusing idiots to my self, but when they come that close whether right or wrong I could see worse happening to them, if i were a mean person.....
Check it out.

In CA, even flashing a "finger sign" can be interpreted as road rage and you can be ticketed. One phone call to the "brute squad" with your license number and a report of the incident and you could be adding points to your license.

We've all been there, but we haven't all "done that". I've been intentionally cut of in traffic, so I understand the desire but I've found it better to just drive away. I have decided that idiots are their own worst enemies (even though I'm still here and remembering).

At least you aren't married or related to the self-righteous and self-centered lady who initiated the incident. At some level you must feel sorry for those who are, especially her husband. I'll bet he can't live up to her view of life! And pity her children, being raised by a narrow minded, controlling witch.
