Great to watch some of the proceedings live. Great work by great mates. Well done!

Highest regards

Surly

I watched some of it today. Good group of guys. Nice work too. It was very interesting. Although, to be honest, I hope I never have to replace the engine in my bike. I don't have such mechanic buddies.

Last I saw, KrzY8 was fixed and they were about to tackle the Kawi. Good job guys. Goes to show that the show ain't over, even after the fat lady sings.

Last I saw, the engine was out of the old Kwak. Then Don rolled its frame into another garage, and there were a couple ugly faces on the screen and a 6 cylinder motor outside under the A frame on a lift. As the image went black, it looked like they were about to start on getting drunk, . . . except Richard, who flipped the bird to Don and Ray (and us) and said he didn't feel like drinking tonight.

Just don't let Bust get a hold of DC's exhaust pipes again! Heaven forbid DC has to RnR his engine one more time.

Fairlaner be snoring in la casa de la camperosa. Can here the snore from here. Coyotes for 50 miles around are running scared.

FjRay kicked the orange ***** outta his room, muttering something about sleep.

Me?

I'm thinking it ain't raining yet and I should go for a midnight CrZy8Eh ride.

(no probably not, me's too tuned up for such an occasion!)

Wow. The new engine sounds GREAT. All 5 gears work. Hal's 2k8 8k mile TBA didn't require adjustment - was perfect.

Gotta say though - when she first fired I was very concerned... sure, she was running, but sounded 'flat'..

After a couple of minutes, magic! It's like the WD40 in the cylinders cleared, the injectors got happy, and this engine that has not run for +8 months just came to life!

I can not express how cool it is to have KrZy8 healthy and ready to romp again!

We will get +200K on this bike, I just know it.

My goal is to have over 1 million miles on bikes *currently* owned.

After KrZy8Eh surgery, we yanked the KZ1300 engine in approx 2 hours so FjRay can work magic on this motor. Amazing. Simply amazing.

...Can't begin to tell you what good buds I have -

Ms. dCarver, Richard, Ray, Hal, - anywhere anytime....

Also got to say huge Thanks to forum peeps watching the stream and providing encouragement and laughs. TominCa - woohoo dude for the kickstand switch MIA connector! My right coast bud Ross for first linking this engine to the thread. And soo many others too, like Surly!

Freaking cool. :D

Way freaking cool! :yahoo:

G'day mates!

Very cool stuff and a real learning experience following along.

Yes you have great Buds and it is way cool how everyone pulled for you, and them, and your bike.

I am very happy to be a small part of this Forum and see what a great group of people are here.

Again very happy it turned out well and you will be running along in FJR bliss again.

Congratulations!

Great stuff, Don!!

Have you had KrZy8 out on the road for a short test spin? Now that its all done, I don't think there is much doubt that it was worth it!

I watched the short vid on pulling the engine on the KZ1300. Is this project on the short track? If so, you will have to start another thread. (More streaming video or just some play-by-play descriptions with pics?)

Good luck on it!

Ross

Here's my take on this DC, Yeah! It's great to have friends with the talents needed to get you outta trouble in a pinch. I have many talents myself that I've gladly shared with those who deserved it.

There have been others that weren't so deserving. To those, I've come up with all sorts of reasons why I couldn't make it. Like I just applied the third coat of nail polish and it's still wet,

I can't miss today's episode of Days of our Lives because today John comes out of his Coma and learns that he's been in love with his Sister all this time and wants to start taking Banjo Lessons.

You Know.......... Manly excuses like that! The Moral of the Story is..... It takes a certain type of person to make people Suit Up and Come Running!

But, For Gods Sake Man!! If you're gonna spend that much time on the Screen, Do something about your Hair!! :D
