I'll be with family. The following weekend I start on my 2-week trip to new england.

anybody want to ride along? :D :D JUST KIDDING. I got into trouble on ezboard when I asked for riding buddies on long trip -then bailed...

This trip is the result of that bailing.

Hope you find some partners there grn. Somehow, I don't think this ride meetup folder is high enough toward the top of the forum to garner the attention that these things need.

Yes, yes he did. Thanks for reminding me. Didn't think I'd see this, eh? :D :D

rad you are everywhere. :D

Probably just as well things didn't work for the long voyage. From hearing your buddy mnfjr talk, you guys like to ride the curves at 3 x posted speed  ..

you and brian definitely would have left me in the dust :( ...then there is this little thing I have with heights that I have to fight every time I ride in the mountains   ....

Anyways...the 2 week family trip we had was good. I am looking forward to the new england trip, however I will probably be dodging hurricanes in september...

Anyways, I like cheese...

Oh, and what are people's plans for Labor Day weekend?? :D

Well then I guess no one is up to riding around the Wildcat mountain area then? Our club was supposed to do this over July 4 weekend but the hotel's pool & sauna were broke and there were only 2 confirmed reservations, so it got cancled. I then had them move our reservations to Labor Day so the wife and I could get away for a few days.

If any one is intrested in going let me know and I'll get you the details for the discounted rate at the hotel. By the way, the hotel is newer and has 3 pools, bar & resturant.

That be the place. Wildcat is east of LaCrosse where CFO was held. Just a lot of nice roads to ride and a weekend getaway. :D

Thinking seriously about doing a bun burner that weekend. Wichita to Oklahoma City, to Albuquerque, to Colorado Springs. That makes about 1100 miles. Then from Colorado Springs to Denver, then across to Salina, that makes about 600 miles. Then come on home. We'll see tho, but that's the plan.

I'm heading to Deal's Gap/Blue Ridge Parkway from Chicagoland area if anybody's interested. I have Fri off & will be leaving early in the morning. Planning on camping each night and be back Monday night. I know it's a busy weekend, but it's my only chance to get there while in Chicago before I head back to CA. If anybody want to meet or ride, give me a shout.
