Anyone interested on a Sat day trip from Laguna beach to Indio at the Fantasy Springs Casino for lunch then return? I'm open for route suggestions, meeting place, start time and riding 2-up.

I'm never lucky, nor when I go to the cashiers to ask for any lucky bills (I really do this) but ask only for the "jackpot" bills! Anyways, we'll have fun anyways!

How about December 17th, saturday, weekend before Christmas anyone? I was thinking of starting from Pacific Coast Hwy 1 and 133 in Laguna beach at the Chevron Station, then south down the coast towards Ortega Hwy 74 towards Indio 111 and have lunch at the Fantasy Springs Casino. Depending on how many go, I might be able to get a discount at either the steakhouse, bistro, buffet or the grill if I let my casino host know. Or maybe its better for everyone to go where they want to eat at? Normally the trip from orange county to Indio takes approx 2 hours, but since we will be taking 74 I presume the trip will take about 4 hours, so we would have to leave laguna beach about 8am, picking up people at Hwy 5 & 74, and Hwy 15 & 74. Also depending on how many are interested, we can leave in groups of 4 bikes promptly. P.S. Bring all your quarters!

heres the link for the place

Are you staying on 74 through Hemet, up the hill, through Garner Valley and then down into Palm Desert? If so great idea. If not check this out. I live in the Hemet area. My usual starting off point is breakfast at the Paradise Cafe in Garner Valley. Its at the corner of 74 and 371, a few miles before you go down the hill into Palm Desert. Thats a great stop for lunch also. Great sandwiches and burgers. Fast food prices. Blues music on the patio on weekends. If you go that way, maybe we can meet up. I'm right down the street from 74.

That also sounds good, and yes I plan on staying on the 74 all the way down to palm desert. Are you in Palm Desert?

Oh by the way everyone, this is open to all riders, I've invited a few other friends with the other kinds of bikes ...lol to come along, all with great humor, the kind of riders I like to be with.

Depending on whether or not I have to work, this sounds good.

Put me down as another tentative rider. Much to do before the holiday's but I'll try to keep that date open if possible.

Great guys, I have several other riders meeting at the Chevron, although they are not FJR riders, they will be bringing what ever bikes they can get a hold of. I will visit the cafe next weekend to get an idea about the place, otherwise Fantasy Springs have great St. Louis Ribs, which I do plan on getting.

Bigdolma,

I'll be picking up a couple riders at the intersection of hwy 15 and 74, maybe that would be closer? I'll be getting feedback on a location or gas station to meet up, but I think there is a chevron so we will be there before 9am

Plus after some mapping, it looks like day ride approx 270 miles plus/minus if I get lost or not.
