He was one of my hero's, but 7 Tour wins was too good to be true. I'm disappointed, more disappointed though that the only way to win these days is to cheat. Ask any doctor, some are just better at cheating than others.

Think aboot it - he was in the Heisman race.
There's no such thing as bad press.
His 'girlfriend' dies, and his grandmother dies, he gets more press - press that doesn't bother to actually check any facts, but that's another rant.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist or anything, but if it walks like duck and quacks like a duck...
And I'm glad he didn't win the Heisman and glad he didn't win the national championship.

In the real world, life is all about using every advantage you have to scramble to the top....life isn't fair. He confessed to doping...but what you don't know is how many of his competators were doing the same thing. In NASCAR they didn't strip all of Dale Earnhardt's championships if they found proof that he had too much spoiler for one race at Daytona.
As for the USPS and the Feds, they sponsored him for the advertising time......they got every bit of advertising they paid for....and with him in front they got a lot of bang for thier bucks (our bucks).

I wonder how Lance always tested clean when Landis and at least one other didn't? Assuming they were using the same technik. Had they all been so lucky and kept their mouths shut they could have pulled it off. I've come to expect it from cycling these days. Golf may be the only clean sport left!!

They knew when they would be tested which for the most part allowed them to juice around the testing schedule. Make it random (like the Military ) and you will see all hell break loose.
Knowing a few people that have a few Lance Armstrong encounters all say he is a egotistic self centered prick when you turn the cameras off. Some of his team mates who are willing to risk the wrath say the same...

They're a bunch of over paid premadonnas who only care about winning. Any one in Lance's camp that says they didn't know he was doping is a liar. He got paid to win...Period.
What has he ever done that's worth $100 million?? He rode a bike bast? Big ******* deal. We pay football and basketball players that are too stupid to read $22 million a year to play a game. Why?
I know a cop that walked into a burning house last week. No one is lining up to give him a commercial or $22 million.
I swear, if professional sports got canceled tomorrow, I'd go to every McDonald's I could find just so a 6'7" ******* could ask me if I want fries.
