Got a nice Christmas present today - my BBG certificate. Some of you may recall my whining about screwing up my route back from WFO last summer. I miscalculated on both my Mapsource and S&T routes and it looked like I would be about 3 miles short of 1500 miles. I calculated my actual mileage to all the documented gas stations (1502 miles) and sent in the paperwork. My check cleared a couple months later (a good sign) and today I got the certificate! Pretty good turn around for the Iron Butt folks - I imagine they looked at my paperwork pretty hard. Thanks to Tobie and Lisa Stevens and Ignacio for signing me off in Park City. Your signatures were not in vain.

Nice job!

I remmber the fretting etc etc. glad you sent it in and nice that the ball rolled your way!!! Congrat's on your late Christmas Present.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my BB will get hosed. No hotel room receipt and the mapping programs all have my route way overstated in terms of miles. We'll see what comes back, but I'm pretty sure the SS1K will stand.

Congrats on the cert, griff!

Got some nice signatures on that paper Griff, guess it's time to send in my busted BBG. I had to settle for the BB.

Do I get anything for being forced to ride along with Griff on his BBG? :yahoo:

Oh waidaminit.... I only went 1472 miles that day. Guess I don't get anything... cept prolly got to bed 10 minutes sooner than Griff...

Good thing I was with him to make him keep a good pace. Then again, if I wasn't passing every... uh, keeping up with traffic through Wyoming, he'da never made it. I won't take (ir)responsibility for the close shave on his routing, though.

That was a great ride! Congrats on getting your ticket Griff! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

And you know, that ride to Stanley, Idaho From GNP was really something, too, wasn't it? What a day! Punctuated by Griff surviving the nearest forrest rat miss EVER seen by mankind. WHOA!

WOW. By 2 miles?

I wonder what the least mileage over the requirment has been approved?

I mean, look at Rogue squeeking in with seconds to spare at last years Park City..

I wonder if anyone has been awarded for 1000.1 miles?

Congrats Griff! Yah done good!

Oh yeah, I remember seeing you roll into town that morning on my ride to work.

I was wondering when they put that new red light in... That's when I realized that those were your eyes shining through your helmet.

CONGRATS GRIFF!
