What the heck is all that white stuff in the back ground???? Snow....what the heck is that?? man its been 102 degrees here for about a month and no rain. Looks like something we'd surf on down here except for too much of the "sudsing" and no face to ride. B) Hell my fan starts up when I fire up the bike in the morning to head to work. :D

Errrrm, you say your bike has some miles but I re-read your post to see if there's hint about many of those are 'your' miles. How long you had the scoot? And would I be correct in assuming it's yer' first liquid cooled bike?

You're an FNG so you don't know what "is it friday yet?' means, eh? <_<

Muuhuuuhuuhhaaahaahaaaaaaaaa

Subject:

My bike started making this weird sound... kind of like an electric fan or something

Please help!!
Look whose feelin his oats! You fresh out of FNG school yourself partner.
hey let me have some fun with the noobs too. I am an FJR PILOT!!!!!! You haven't seen any unqualified posts from me since.... last friday, come to think of it ;)
There's always hope, just sayin'!

If I'm at a stop light and I see that last temp bar light up that tells me the fan is about to come on I grab a tight hold of the brakes. The extra thrust of those fans can drag you right out into oncoming traffic if you aren't carefull.
Really, it will.
True. In fact, the Gen IIs have 3hp more than the Gen. Is due to the double fans.

Did you see any smokin hot chicks while tooling around in 2nd gear? Your not a perv are you?

I have to reply to some of these..... I have about 1.5k of my miles on this bike. Here in snow county, thats about 1/2 the average for the season, if you don't ride when its less than 65. I put most of those miles on in March and May, then lost my job :( . So yes the bike sits lots now, I have nowhere to go it seems. Yes, my first liquid cooled bike, and 2X the size of the previous one. But its my 4th bike. But the point is, hey, it doesn't get warm up here (to me anyway). It was 52 yesterday morning. Yea, 52. How the heck are you supposed to dress when its 52 in the morning and 82 on the ride home. Hence, my choice in bikes, I need to carry sh*t to stay warm. I love the fact that the bike has a heat "problem". I may fix it someday if I ever go south. Or, I might just take the KZ, its alot of fun to throw around. But really, I do want to thank all of you on the forum. I got lots of great tips, lots of great reads, and lots of good laughs. Thanks.

Wait till this happens. I was riding home form work one really hot day. Around 90 degrees. I noticed I had 4 bars on my temp gauge. I have one of the hot 05s. I stop at a light and then the fan kicks on. I felt like someone had opened an oven and shoved me in!

Good thing you got one of the french bikes, if the turbo ever kicked in on one of the American models you would be in for a real surprise! ;)
