The Wife was heavy into gardening, not anything you would want to put on the table, Just pretty stuff, flowers, bushes/trees, and other green stuff I have no idea.

So anyway I guess it's mandatory if you do this type of garden to decorate the garden with all those oh so cute concrete statues, little bunny rabbits, and toads, and elf's, and toad stools(damn toad stools, lost more than one lawnmore blade to a toad stool.)

Anyway out for a short ride to keep the FJR's battery charged and I come across a new garden shop. Now this guy's got the right idea. The heck with all that cutesy cutesy stuff let's sell some real garden art.

Wouldn't this one look nice grazing the back yard.

About 10 years ago, one of my best friends and I took a trip to Puerto Penasco Mexico to go fishing and hang out. He had a neighbor with a little garden gnome in her front yard...Looked just like the Expedia or Travelocity Gnome...Don't remember which.

Anyway, when we left, we "borrowed" that Gnome and took pictures with it all along the trip. When we got back, we replaced the Gnome and placed the pictures in and envelope attached to him...We had him in the car, at rest stops, at the border, in a bar or two, at the pool, on the beach, on the fishing boat...You get the picture...

It was frigging hilarious and later the lady's daughter told my buddies daughter that someone had kidnapped their Gnome and taken him on a cruise. Haha...

I could use one or two of those bears. I have a strategic spot or two where I could put them to keep the tourists out of the yard.

My mother-in-law is one of those people that collects all the elves, windmills, life size old ladies bending over showing their pantaloons etc. and placing them all over her yard. Made me crazy and she knew it.

My work house was in her neighborhood, one day I'm riding by on the bike. She's working in the yard a few feet away from the pantaloon statue in the same pose. I yell out "ah jeeez, she got another one of them dam things. " She straightens up red-faced and flips me off, I almost crashed I was laughing so hard !

Fast forward a couple years.. Pop dies and Mom comes out to live with us at the lakehouse, brings and deploys all her lawn ornaments. OH, HELL NO !

We go round and round about it, wife thinks they're cute too. I lose the battle repeatedly.

I resorted to putting the statues in sexually compromising poses as I left for the work house each week before they finally put them away for good. Neither of them wanted to get up that early to keep an eye on me.
