Note the name is not LDCool, it's LDComfort. And for that, Mario's stuff just plain works. I'm not convinced it's needed for a day ride but for multiple days in the saddle LDComfort gear goes a long, long way to keeping your skin healthy by moving moisture away from the body and eliminating the chaffing of the skin.
In extreme temps, you can use LDComfort as cooling gear. Soak it in water, ring it out, put in on and ride. Don't do this too close to nightfall. If the water doesn't evaporate before the temperature drops you'll be in for a chilly night. DAMHIK!
I concur with this statement, My point was if it is not going to be a long ride you won't likely get the full benefit of what the LD comfort clothing has to offer.

Gray Ray's suggestion has some appeal to it, maybe i'll get one of each and get back to you

Mihalis I wear mine in the summer if its an all day ride and they wick the sweat away from the skin. They are very good on the skin in my case with no irritation.

I buy my tights two sizes larger than needed. Then I pin the slack and use a pair of suspenders to hold them up.

That picture above looks like a female pair!

About sizing for LDComfort. Use a tape measure and order according to the sizing chart on the website. Don't compare your other garments size label to order your LDComfort. Both the Riding Shorts and full length tights are measured the same and come from the same pattern. All our garments are made in our own factory in Grays Harbor Washington where patterns and garments are made to the tape measure. The fit is meant to be a gentle hug and designed for maximum comfort and keeping the skin dry of excess moisture. Yes they will stretch. They stretch a lot if you want them to stretch. Don't go up a size because you are trying to second guess our design, just use a tape measure and go off the chart.

Enjoy every mile. Mario

tagline posted: <snip, snip> .... just use a tape measure and go off the chart.
If we're still talking about ElToroJoe, the OP, he doesn't need a tape measure to go off the chart -- just a couple of beers.

I did not need to know about the super premium undies under the super premium Klim gear riding on that super premium 2016 ES.

Dude, you're never gonna retire.

I thought it was Piraeus but sked has changed and we are going to these Greek ports:

Sat, 04/21/18 Katakolon (olympia)

Sun, 04/22/18 Mykonos

Mon, 04/23/18 Santorini

Maybe next time :(

Hey, BigJohn: Hope those LD Comforts stretch enough for ya!

Well, I wish I could endorse the LDComfort shorts like the rest of you guys, but I'm not a fan of my fancy $50.00 underwear. I just don't know what they were thinking when the designed the "Roe-Fly". Their literature states it has "A ‘Roo-Fly’ for convenience at pit stops." I'm not sure what they think is so convenient when little Houdini breaks out of your shorts on his own all the time. When I got my LDComfort shorts, some of the stitching was missing in the assembly of the Roe-Fly. They happily took them back and made repairs but the stitching quickly fell out again. I'm probably the only one I know that doesn't like them but I'm not impressed.
