Leaf Peepin' On The BRP

Rode part of the Blue Ridge Parkway today between Newland, NC and ????? to get a sneak preview of the trees. It's still a bit early for the fall colors in case you were thinking about a BRP trip. There are a few trees up high on the mountains that are turning but, along the BRP, the trees are still green. And, there was very light traffic so the leaf peepers were not yet out in force.

I put the "?????" up there because I took an unknown road to exit the BRP on the north end of my ride and got lost. Darn it! I had to ride a bunch of back country roads thru the mountains of NC before ending up back in Boone, NC.

Maybe I should plan my trips better...NOT!!!

About 200 miles on the odo today and I likee my new Sargent seat...no more squirming around for me.

You probably got off at the detour between Spruce Pine and Newland.

I rode the section south of the detour on the way to EOM. It's a great ride. I can definatly get you lost on some roads between Spruce Pine and Boone, but they are all good ones.
