Leather Chaps (ladies) on the FJR? my G/F is wierd@!

I'm with Tyler and Mary Ellen. Don't wear chaps on the bike. Might wear chaps to a club, but that's a different question, and its moot as I don't own a pair.

I wear full leather riding pants, armored knees, zip to jacket ... they don't look that great off the bike, but so what ? For the summer I have a pair or armored textile pants, same deal.

I tried the scorpion brand, but unless you are an anorexic 16 year old, they don't fit, so I sent them back for rev'it women's pants, and have been very happy with them.

I'm protected from cold, from rain, from falling and scraping along the chip and seal. Jeans are not warm when wet and don't have much in the way of crash protection.

I guess if she will not ride with you unless you let her dress the way she wants, then it's up to you to decide how to handle it. Personally, I think she should wear full gear for riding and save the chaps for other recreation.

And what kind of "recreation" did you have in mind Greg? ...thinking...hmmm, I just might like your answer!

The mental image of Bungie wearing nothing but chaps scares the crap outa me.... but maybe at last we'll find out why he gets lost... never know where that thing is pointing!
KJ, as an ATTGAT kind of guy as I am, knowing that any unintended separation from your motorcycle seat won't end well........ You've made your point to the GF, now it is time for you to make a decision knowing sometimes you can lead a horse to water, but......... Would you rather be right or would you rather be happy?

So here goes, for the women who want to look stylish and have some adjustable draw strings for a more form-fitting fit, I highly recommend a look at these...... They have some good protection and are pretty good for riding gear.

From one American to one Canadian, we are on the same exact dang page! I don't want her to learn this lesson the hard way, hopefully when she meets some of you great peeps here (at rallies) she will come to realize to our way of thinking. (special thanks to Fred W. for converting me to a more safer rider)

My $0.02 - chaps can look great on a gal, but only if she's got the dumper to pull it off. Sorry if that sounds bad, but in my little home town we have a large (and I mean large in multiple meanings) group of folks who show up on Saturday mornings on their hogs with most of the lady-folk wearing chaps. I would say that 90+% should NOT be wearing those as it tends to even further exagerate the size of the posterior, but they do anyway.
For full disclosure, I would love to feel confident in walking around town with my shirt off but I realize that I don't have the body to pull it off so I don't...... I wish others would show the same restraint but since its still a relatively free country, let it bulge !!!!!

Well for me she has the dumper to pull it off but NOT for any ghetto big butt lovers, hell no! ...But(t) I would rather she be in some protective drawers to protect her lil cheeks ..pic was taken this past Feb. on St. Marrten Island

I have a pair and I've worn them around town but I haven't had them on in a couple of years. And I wouldn't freaking dream of wearing them on a trip.

LMAO. I've actually known her since childhood and I actually dated her older sister before... like maybe 10 years ago. I was also best man at her Brothers wedding. Yaaaa, I keep it in the family! ...she does have 2 more sisters and no I have not dated either

Definitely...I think I saw that Bugnatr's got a few of these in his "closet" when I roomed at his house a couple years ago while taking the Kali Tour...and I don't believe they're wifey's.
