Leaving FL to CA and maybe AK for 30 days

Leaving this weekend for the month of June and will be leaving from FL heading out west to AR and then who knows. Will check out zion and moab, grand canyon, badlands and may head up to Ak if I have it in me. Plan on moteling it and would like ideas on getting the best rates without the hassles. Any great routes or eateries would also be appreciated.

This is a pretty big route. Let me suggest you lay out a general plan on Google Maps. You can make the maps collaborative allowing others to edit the route, which you can accept or reject as the map owner. With that we could suggest some interesting route deviations and highlights. It should be pretty obvious you need to do the initial planning or our suggestions will just be like throwing darts. At least create a rough route with "can't miss" waypoints, and make it flow logically to a destination and return trip. Just as an example, the Badlands is a northern midwest destination that doesn't work well with the destinations in the southwest (Utah and Arizona). It is more efficient to do a loop than

if you are coming through south Louisiana on I-10, I can offer to ride along, show you some really fun coast roads, and you can stay as long as you want at my home

and partake of whatever Nawlins' food you want around town with or without me.

the coast road from Pensacola to Nawlins', mostly 90 is amazing. Mobile Bay ferry superior. I'd be happy to ride out and meet you within 200mi if you'd like some company.

we can ride around the city for a day and see the mighty Mississippi with bridge, river road, or ferry rides as you wish.
