The ride started amongst freshly blooming trees in downtown Portland.

From there I headed west to see all that there was to see, this church caught my attention early on.

Ate lunch at the famous Helvetia Tavern, where I ran into a couple of local FJR riders. I got distracted by this picture and forgot to get pics of tavern.

There is certainly no shortage of green in Northwest Oregon this time of year.

Another church I found while in route to nowhere in particular.

A couple of shots from a winery I passed along the way.

Last stop of the day was at Hagg Lake.

A beautiful ride that involved other FJR enthusiasts, what more can you ask for!!

I took advantage of the dry pavement yesterday also. Put in around 100 miles, except on the east side. Went around and through Estacada, Mollala, Milino, Mt. Angel, and a lot of roads in between. Hay Ralph, looks like Sunday might be a nice day, what do ya think.

Yeah, Greg, I'm thinking b/fast somewhere and maybe a 100 miles or so. I think Marianne would want to come with us if we kept the ride fairly short if the weather is cool. Maybe some of the new guys want to join in. Or even some of the old farts, like FJR_pig or SockMonkey or PonyFool...

That's a scary combination you are talking about but not as old as some around here.

Sounds like a group I can not afford to miss. I would have to pull a few strings, but should be able to make it if the weather chooses to cooperate. Keep us updated on the time and place if reports continue to look dry!
