Thank goodness these squad cars aren't the norm.

"With 730hp from a twin-turbo V12 and a top-speed of 225.19mph, the Brabus CLS Rocket is currently the world’s fastest legal sedan."

Those guys would be having soooo much fun they wouldn't even notice miscreants like FJR owners riding 5 or 10 over! One would think the "fines" would raise commensurate with the expense of running that equipment. :dribble: Who needs a motorola?????

It would prob get a "Please speed, do a top end run, just so I can chase ya. PLEASE!!!!!!!!"

I saw the Indiana state patrol doing exactly that when they got their new Chargers last summer. They were letting the car get a mile or more down the road before they would even leave the grass. Would hate to see them with 730hp

We still have Crown Vics, but we just got our first batch of the new Hemi Chargers. In my current assignment, I have a Taurus, Malibu, Venture, Ram, three unmarked Crown Vics and a rotating rental car that can be anything from a Sentra to a Tahoe with unlimited switching. Car gets burned, take it in and get a different one.

The Dodge Chargers look awesome and are very fast, but the one that my department has stays in the garage just as much time as they are on the road.

Geez, that's too bad. I've had one assigned to me since last December and I've had zero issues with it other than a little rattle in the dash. The ergos are "okay" but otherwise, it's pretty sweet. And hey, it all comes down to looks, right, heh heh...and an unmarked silver one with tinted windows, ohhhh.... ;)

The only thing I didn't like about the Charger was not having a cup holder. Everything else was just dandy. Having said that, this was my favorite patrol car of all time...

*sigh* Those were the days.

The Camaro is suppose to be back in '09. I'm sure someone will make a pursuit package out of one.

We still have 3 Z28's in louisville. They are always on 264 and 65. Their's are unmarked though, but everyone knows now, if you see a camaro on the side of the road, you had better have already slowed down.

My brother drove the charger and said it was fast but handled like ****. He said he actually prefers the crown vic. He says their loose, but they never budge. :dntknw:

that's typically the problem with american designs for fast cars; fast in a straight line is only part of the package. overlooking handling is what gets you to the "hopped up" cruiser mentality in the motorcycling community.

5 to 10 over. Sheesh, I hope you aren't in the left lane.

I am going to be in so much trouble one of these days. Anybody got bail money?
