I know! I know! But they're really comfortable. And yes, my previous bike was a cruiser. I started out with Motovation sliders, then Leo's peg mounts, I added the Kuryakyn 4" adjustable lockable offsets ($79.99 from Dennis Kirk), and finished with stock Harley pegs ( they're cheap). I'm 6'2" with a 34" inseam and I can pretty much stretch my legs all the way out. No issues with hitting the lower fairings either. Rock On! Jevers

Jevers,

Nice farkle and thanks for posting! I just got my peg mounts from Leo and was wondering if I should go with the 2" lockable offset? I am 5'8" with a 29 inch inseam.

Thanks for your opinion in advance.

Rex

Sorry, jevers, cool farkle but I just can't help laughing at how much they look like something that you'd use to wind up the spring in a toy..!

Hi Rex, Initially I was going to go with a 6" offset but my friend convinced me to try the 4". I'm glad I did otherwise I would have been "reaching" for them. I bet the 2" would be just right for you. The part # for mine is 4557. Make sure you get the offset to "accept any H-D style male mount footpeg". Jevers

Function over form. Besides they pop off in two minutes with two set screws each. They'd look better if they were made of aluminum and not chrome. Jevers

P.S. Did you know that 98% of all Harleys sold are still on the road today? Yeah, the other 2% actually made it home!

Jevers,

Thanks for th feedback. Going to my local motoshop now (Grifs Cycle in Lewisville, Tx.) to see what they have.

Appreciations,

Rex

Hardly parts + FJR = bad juju

Ineteresting idea, but personally, I wouldn't want those flopping around when I'm trying to cut up the twisties.

The lowest point on these Harley growths is 2" higher than the stock footpegs. So you will probably be scraping the bags before the highway pegs touch. By the way, I went for a test ride today here in "balmy" Minnesota 36* and they work great. When I got home I couldn't wait to take them off and see what the bike looks like with just the sliders......much better! Party on, Jevers

Jevers,

I ordered my items from Grifs Cycle today. It should be in on Wed of next week. The 4" lockable offset from Kurayayken (Sp?) was only $59. Sorry. I went with the 4" based off some measurements we took and the owner is a very knowledgable sport touring guy.

When I get them in and installed, I will let you know. I appreciate you posting this info up...the timing for me was impeccable. Plus, I have 2x long rides coming up (1 to Arkansas for SFO and 1 to Tampa for an IBA Cert) that I will be happy to get my legs stretched out.

Thanks again!

Rex

Rex, Once you get the offsets and pegs where you want them, wrap electrical tape around the joints, take each screw out, blue Loktite them, tighten securely and remove the tape. They like to vibrate loose. Let me know how they turn out. Jevers

Jevers,

I should be getting them in today or tomorrow. I appreciate the info. How are they when you lean the bike into turns? Any clearance issues?

Thanks again!

Rex, The lowest part of the pegs is 2" higher than the stock rider's pegs. I haven't had them scrape yet, but if they do I can easily fold them up with my feet on the fly. Jevers
