A timely topic as I gather gear and create a packing list for an upcoming highly anticipated ride through Baja California on the Tenere. With three large boxes and room for a huge dry bag on the back seat there is room for way more than is needed. The old quote is "it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it". But whoever created that quote wasn't thinking about riding a overloaded Tenere through deep sand while dressed in armor and an adventure suit.

Making a list and checking it twice.

Hey thanks for noticing that, Neihart. I was referencing and commenting on an article in the magazine by Jenny Smith. I really like her writing and her takes on riding.

If I were to quote the letter from the magazine it might cross some sort of line, but I'm betting the originator could quote himself (or herself on another occasion) without issue...
