I removed my license plates from all my vehicles since I'm in the witness protection program.

(did I just type that on the interweb?) ;-)

Daaamn! my Dads 84 years old still at the same address.

I got to go see him, I thought he passed away 15 years ago.

... pipl.com. I guarantee you'll find lots of interesting stuff about a person. This is a "deep web" site that searches things Google can't find, like court records, previous addresses, spouses, family members.
Search yourself and see what turns up. It'll simply blow your mind. :dribble: You're a rare bird if you don't show up.
I must be a fairly rare bird

Only thing that came up was an 11 year old ICQ # and my pops birthday B)

What's the big deal with allowing your license numbers to be seen in pictures? After all, we ride around all day long with our plates perfectly legible.
Take any little piece of information -- like a license plate that has home state clearly listed -- then get a first/last name and visit this site: pipl.com. pipl found two traffic tickets from when I lived in Tallahassee in 1989, but none of the huge volumes elsewhere!

Found 3 web pages where I posted stuff.

Oooh! Scary!

Not really related, but. . .

Not only do I not post my license plate online, but I don't get gas at my local Flying J anymore since they started logging the license plate of every friggin vehicle that comes gets gas there. Gas security they call it. Not that I seriously think anything nefarious is going to happen with it, I just think it's an intrusion of privacy. I'd hate to think I'm going to have to start giving out personal identity info at a restaurant because they've had too many dine & dashes.

So, does that mean you no longer use a credit card of any kind?

ATM?

EZPass for the highway?

Data-oriented work ID (FasCard or similar)?

Touch a computer connected to an online account of any kind?

Seriously, I'm sure you're as normal as anybody, but it's simply astounding when you talk to people who for a living look into what other people have been doing.

Well sure I use most of those things. When I choose to do so. I just don't like it being a requirement. Maybe I want to pay cash and not be tracked because I'm feeling particularly paranoid for no good reason. I know my life is no big secret to the persistent, nor are my belongings or personal safety secure from devoted ill-doers. But that doesn't mean I leave my stuff unlocked and easy to get to.
