You're a fine boy Hudson, (even if you might be older than me).

You've gone ahead figured out the true meaning of life.

Would you allow me to adopt you?

That would surely make my life complete.

Papa Fred

I've had some time to personalize the #002 McQueen bike, and got the bike to where I am happy with it. Mostly, it was getting the look of the bike to resemble what Chad McQueen and I had in mind when we got this project started. The stock bike turned out pretty well, but it needed some subtle tweaks and performance mods to get it to be 100% McQueen cool.

- Suspension upgrade (Ohlins piggyback, front springs, and a Thruxton damper kit)
- TPUSA pipes (the stock pipes look ok, but sound like a Suburu)
- JP shorty levers (stock levers are unweildy and bulky)
- Triumph bar end mirrors (stock mirrors stick out too much, detract from the classic lines)

I also cleaned up the Xmas tree lights, replacing the blinkers and rear with Lucas style bullet lights. These have a more classic look than the more modern ones on the #0000 bike, and give the bike a cleaner, less busy look that Chad was striving for on the #000 bikes. Also installed a Dart screen, as I get lots of bugs in the PNW during summer.

The #0000 bike has extensive engine mods performed by tuner Matt Capri at South Bay Triumph, including big bore kit, polished and ported intakes, cams, valves, and makes a bigger horsepower bump. Mine has the sound, if not the power of the McQueen Racing bike.

Here's how it turned out:
