That’s too bad! Anyway, I was at the Yamaha dealer this afternoon and the service manager told me to bring the final drive case in and he’ll crank it down for me, no charge!!!

My 2008 AE pinion seal failed 55,000 miles last year. I found a 2009 with, 21,000 miles on flebay opening bid $45.00 free freight 30 day return 100% feed back. I bid the min and lucked out noone else bid on it. I've ridden 4,000 miles with no issues so far. Used rear ends with driveshaft were going for $100.00 plus freight, I was surprised I won it .

Found this on Venture Rider from 2018.

The company that was doing this mod and exchange was Blue Ridge Mountain Sport Max, it was owned and operated by John Furbur.
I am not sure if John is still in the business of modifying and exchanging Royal Star final drives or not his website appears to be gone, but , but he does have a Facebook presence and I understand you can email him directly at john@rmsportmax, he may still be doing the mods and swaps.

Anyone remember the guy's handle who was swaping in the Venture gears?

I had the Venture gears put in my 2014 final drive. It was done by a shop in, as I recall, Mannheim, PA. Cost was $300. It works great… adds about 4 mph to the 5th gear.
