Looking at Athens for Wed night

I've been studying maps and I am thinking about staying in Athens Wed night and possibly hitting Cherohala Skyway and the Dragon on Thursday.

Weekdays are supposedly best for the Dragon.

I plan on arriving at the Marriot Thursday afternoon, preferably after rush hour.

If anyone is planning on being near those time space coordinates and wants to join me they will be more than welcome.

We have 3 of us who are planning on meeting in Marietta Wednesday PM to do the same thing Thursday, including "scrappedup", his brother, and me. I will pm you my cell phone number.

My plans are for spending the night in Roswell on Wednesday, then hitting Wayah Rd, Cherohala, and maybe the Dragon on the way to the Marriot...

Wednesday, I have a room in Boone, NC, then I'll take my time getting over to Knoxville via the Dragon on Thursday.

Oh, and I'll be running 555 from Zanesville to Marietta on Wednesday.

And to stealth1 - there's a pretty decent little diner in Athens called the Athens Diner. Check it if'n you like.

Sounds like there will be a bunch of FJR's buzzing around the same area Thurs before heading to NAFO - we are all bound to cross paths sooner or later

Forgot to mention - we have reservations in Cornelia, GA Weds night (just up 441 from Athens). So Steath1, it seems like if you can make it another hour north, you could join us. Anyone else is welcome too.

I was talking about Athens, TN.

I thought it would be a good starting location for points East on Thursday.

I hope to be seeing a lot of NC back roads before heading to Knoxville.

Butt, no can do. I'm committed to the Thursday ride with 101st, and wifey has an appointment at Jewett Clinic on Wednesday that she wants me to go to with her.
