Seems my 2nd OEM rear take-off is getting a little tired with 30K miles on it (first one made it to 28K). Do you have a fairly new OEM takeoff for sale cheap?

How about a 26k shock off my '07?

But seriously, how about going for a Gen3? A few folks have already gone that route. They are cheaper then the Gen2 and they are higher sprung (springed?) as well.

Are they a straight swap? I CAN use the extra spring weight.

A few years ago one could get a take-off OEM for cheap. I'm not in a position to order a new replacement or an aftermarket one right now.

If I recall correctly a couple years ago I paid $75? plus shipping for one with a couple thou on it. As Flagstaff said in his post, he was looking for a fresh rear OEM shock. The consensus a few years ago was the rear lasted around 26,000 when it starts to get a bit tired. I ride 2-up all the time and as I posted my 2nd OEM rear has around 30K on the it and it does feel a bit mushy.

A nice custom Ohlins would be great but not in the cards right now. Seems like I could have titled this Gen II / III OEM rear. Thanks for the links Denver_FJR.

I've got a GEN II rear shock in great shape with about 5500mi. on it. It came off my 09" and it's been sitting (boxed) in my garage for awhile now. Give me a shout if you want it and we'll figure out what it's worth. Thanks.

I'll be in the market for a low-miles OEM take-off fairly soon. First one on my '05 puked at 32K, now at about 47K. Anyone else have one, under 5K miles?
